No other database like it exists. Metro Forecasting Models built a vacant land inventory database sorted by land use type for the Greater Naples Chamber of Commerce.
The Greater Naples Chamber of Commerce needed a way to quickly identify sites with potential to develop as commercial or industrial land. Metro Forecasting Models used Collier County Property Appraiser data to identify all vacant land and then layered this data with land use restrictions to provide an accurate inventory of vacant land by type.
The database is used to identify appropriate parcels to support specific land uses, such as a corporate headquarters or manufacturing. Using the Vacant Land Inventory Database, the Greater Naples Chamber of Commerce is able to locate the exact amount of residential, commercial, and industrial vacant land available. Understanding and demonstrating the county’s development potential is crucial for stimulating economic development and ensuring a diverse tax base.
