Lee County School District Student Enrollment Model
The option of School Choice in Lee County School District makes it difficult for school planners to understand the demand, location, and timing of new school plants. The Interactive Growth Model delivers an accurate forecast of student enrollment and demand for new schools based on capacity.
The Lee County School District needed to understand future school enrollment by school and grade. For the 96 public schools in Lee County, the enrollment model determined trends in class size by school plant and where specific schools lacked capacity for the forecasted number of students.
The Lee County School District Student Enrollment Model used historic school enrollment data and detailed forecast data to determine which specific schools and grade levels would require classroom capacity management. For the 2015-2019 school years, the student enrollment model was accurate within 98%.
